Rooted in folklore and family memory, this pattern brings the quiet magic of the sea indoors, blending myth, memory, and the joy of make believe.
This design celebrates the spirit of the sea and the stories it carries. Inspired by her family’s roots in fishing and the sea shanties that once filled her home, it honours the rhythm of coastal life, where folklore and everyday memories blur.
The mermaids in this pattern aren’t fairytale creatures; they're the ones children spot in rock pools, dream about in the bath, and draw in the sand. Hand carved in her Somerset studio, this design is for anyone who’s ever stood at the edge of the sea and let their imagination swim just a little further.

How much does shipping cost?
Samples always ship free, and express delivery is available at checkout for $20. Shipping on single rolls starts at $75, some wallpapers ship free once you reach a set number of rolls, and your final shipping cost is worked out at checkout. Every roll is printed to order, so timing varies by artist, but wallpaper typically ships in about five to seven weeks.
Can I return wallpaper?
All sales are final. Each roll is printed to order for you, so wallpaper can't be returned. If your order arrives damaged, email us within 7 days of delivery with photos, and once we've reviewed and approved your claim we'll exchange the damaged rolls for the same product. We recommend ordering a sample first to confirm colour and scale.
What's the best way to measure?
Use the wallpaper calculator on this page, or send us your wall dimensions and we'll work out roll quantities with the pattern repeat included.
Do you offer bulk discounts?
For larger quantities or contract projects, contact us for project pricing — and designers can apply for trade pricing across the full range.
How do I care for wallpaper?
Most of our non-woven papers are wipeable, and each order ships with care guidance; Type II commercial vinyl is available for high-traffic spaces.
Can I request a custom design?
Often, yes — many designs can be recoloured, rescaled or printed on alternative substrates. Email info@jamescrossing.ca with the pattern you love.
