Shipping policy

Made to order

Almost everything at James Crossing is made to order. Our wallpapers and fabrics are sourced from independent artists and studios and are printed or woven in batches specifically for your order, so we are not able to guarantee exact shipment or arrival dates when an order is first placed. Fabric typically ships in about three to four weeks, and wallpaper in about five to seven weeks. Once your order ships, we will email you a tracking number.

Because fabrics and wallpapers are produced in batches, colour may vary slightly between print runs. We strongly recommend ordering all of the rolls or yardage you need in a single order, and confirming your quantities with your installer or upholsterer before you buy. James Crossing is not responsible for miscalculated quantities.

Where we ship

We ship to Canada, the United States and 26 other countries, and our rates are the same wherever your order is going. Those countries are the United Kingdom, Ireland, Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Israel, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea and the United Arab Emirates. If you would like to ship somewhere that isn’t on this list, please contact us at info@jamescrossing.ca before ordering and we will do our best to arrange it.

For orders shipping within Canada, duties are included. If any import duty is charged on your order, James Crossing pays it, so there is nothing extra to pay when your parcel arrives.

Shipping rates

Final shipping is always confirmed at checkout. Our current rates are:

  • Samples — Free, or $20 if you would like them sent express
  • Brand McKenzie, Victoria Sanders, Annika Reed and Liberty James wallpaper — Free when you order two or more rolls from the same studio, and $75 for a single roll
  • Parker & Jules wallpaper and fabric — $225 for one roll or metre, $235 for two and $145 for three, then $10 for each additional roll or metre, up to a maximum of $215. The prices for one or two rolls or metres include a $100 small-order surcharge.
  • Parker & Jules grasscloth — $250 for one roll, $260 for two and $170 for three, then $10 for each additional roll, up to a maximum of $240. The prices for one or two rolls include the same $100 small-order surcharge.
  • All other wallpaper and fabric — $75 for the first roll or metre, then $10 for each additional roll or metre, up to a maximum of $165. This includes our super-wide wallpapers, and a set (such as an A and B pair) counts as one roll.

Samples always ship free, on their own or alongside a larger order, and they never count toward a free-shipping threshold or a minimum order. If your cart mixes items from more than one of the groups above, the shipping for each group is worked out separately and the amounts are added together at checkout. For example, one Brand McKenzie roll and one Victoria Sanders roll come to $150 in total. Express samples work the same way, at $20 for each group.

Duties and taxes

Canadian GST/HST is calculated and collected at checkout. For orders shipping outside Canada, any import duties, taxes, or brokerage fees charged by the destination country are the customer’s responsibility. If a customs broker attempts to charge you Canadian GST or HST on an order, please contact us at info@jamescrossing.ca and we will help resolve it.
